OnSteel Oy is committed to responsible business practices and continuous improvement. Responsibility is embedded in our daily operations through systematic quality management, environmental responsibility, occupational health and safety, and controlled welding processes. Our internationally recognised certifications provide our customers and stakeholders with confidence in our operations, reliability and long-term commitment.
Responsibility for Our Employees
At OnSteel, employee well-being is an important part of everyday life and our company culture. We strive to provide a safe, comfortable, and motivating work environment where everyone has the opportunity to grow and thrive.
We support employee well-being through comprehensive occupational healthcare services, fitness and wellness benefits, and shared well-being events. The gym located at our factory and our own disc golf course encourage an active lifestyle both during and after the workday. We also believe that the small things that improve everyday comfort – such as good coffee – are an essential part of a positive working environment.

Responsibility for Young People
We want to contribute to building future expertise and offer young people opportunities to become familiar with working life in industry. Every year, we welcome trainees, summer employees, and work-experience students as part of our team.
We believe that hands-on experience, guidance, and the opportunity to learn in a real working environment help young people find their career path and increase interest in Finnish industry. In cooperation with the Municipality of Karstula, we have also provided workplace familiarization and on-the-job learning opportunities for students in grades 8–9 participating in flexible basic education programs.
Responsibility for the Environment
OnSteel is committed to operating responsibly from an environmental perspective. We continuously develop our operations with a focus on sustainability and maintaining a clean and pleasant working environment.
The apple trees planted around our factory are a small but tangible example of our efforts to create a greener and more enjoyable environment for our employees.
Responsibility for the Local Community
We want to be an active part of the local community and support regional well-being. We contribute to events organized by local associations and support local sports and recreational activities. One example of this is our support for the construction and maintenance of local outdoor fitness stairs.
For us, responsibility means long-term commitment above all else – taking responsibility for people, the environment, and the surrounding community.

Our quality management system complies with the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard, the world’s most widely recognised framework for quality management. Welding quality – SFS-EN ISO 3834-2
The quality of our welding operations is ensured through compliance with ISO 3834-2, which defines comprehensive quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials.
